How to choose your ideal cologne and what type to buy???

Most of us just choose a cologne just because it smells nice or it smells good.  It is unfortunate that most men do not consider what kind of cologne to pick instead as what I mentioned above, it just smells good.  In my opinion, and this is the practice that I do, I always choose my cologne base on my style or the way I dress up as well as it should reflect my personality.  What I mean is, do you want a cologne that is sporty because you have a sporty look?  Or is it a cologne that smells masculine because you are a type of guy that is well built or masculine.  How about an office type man that looks sophisticated?  In addition to these rules as I call it, you have to also consider your age.  You can't just buy cologne and later one realizes that it does not suit your age group.  I believe that our sense of smell also do change as we age so it is definitely something to consider.  So lets get to the bottom of these rules on picking your ideal cologne to make sure you make an ideal impression when wearing your cologne.

1.) Consider your age. - Never buy a cologne that is meant for old people

2.) Consider your style or the outfit that is link to your personality.  Buy a cologne that suits your style either sporty, manly masculine, sophisticated, office type guy or easy going.

Both of these should be considered when buying your ideal cologne.  As for ensuring if the cologne is a good quality is another issue to consider and the following steps should be applied to make sure you are buying a good quality cologne, after all you are spending your hard earn cash for it.

1.) My number one rule is do not buy the cologne just because it smells good.  You have to verify if the scent is really good by determining its silage.  What it means is that does the smell changes after the first 15 minutes and so forth up to the 45th minute mark?  From what I notice some colognes have a strong scent for the first 15 minutes and the scent either become lighter until they disappear.  Some changes scent and it becomes a bitter scent.  This is not good.  A great cologne should have a silage that last beyond the first 15 minutes all the way to the 45th minute mark and the scent still pretty much stays the same.

2.) The price?  You might ask,  Is it worth it? Most colognes of course you are paying for the name at the same time the scent does not last as you thought it would be.  Typically a great cologne has a scent that last for more than 10 hours.  When I am at the store, I do not rush into buying a cologne. I test it first by applying it to my wrist and behind my ears as well as apply it on my shirt.  That is the reason why they have testers for a reason.  Use it for your advantage.  If I can still smell the scent by the 10th hour and it is still consistent then I have a good candidate for a cologne.

3.) Once you pick your cologne, applying it matters, as what I mentioned above, make sure you apply as well on your shit to achieve a long lasting effect and make the silage much more effective.

Below are some of the links I can recommend for cologne.

Acqua Di Gio by Armani - a very good cologne that has a light scent with citrusy smell perfect for young professionals with  sophisticated look as well as office type young men.  Ideal for daily use. silage is amazing and can easily last for more than 12 hours.

Ferrari Black - a good cologne with a woody masculine scent and the price is very cheap too, however the silage is not so good and can only last for about 8 hours max.  Ideal for those guys who likes to dress up casual rugged type.

YSL Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'Homme - a great cologne to use.  Very manly and masculine and perfect to be used specifically for night outs.  Ideal for sophisticated manly masculine men.  Never use this for daily basis.  Not a good idea.  This cologne has an amazing silage.  The scent just last so long even after washing my clothes.

Reaction Cologne by Keneth Cole - a great cologne with a fresh sporty scent and mixed with some sort of citrus smell.  Ideal for younger men and can be used for daily basis.  The price is pretty good too.

There are many more colognes out there from famous brands such as Lacoste, Calvin Klein,  Gucci and many more.  I will update this section once I have those videos posted in my you-tube channel.

How to Prevent and Get Rid of Breakouts, Pimples, Acne, Black heads and Back Acne for Men

Throughout the years living as a teenager, I was one of the unlucky kids in school that has been plagued with breakouts.  This is not limited to my facial skin but also my back.  You name it or call it whatever you want pimples, acne and blackheads.  Adults were telling me that after passing the teenager life, the facial skin problem should subside.  Unfortunately the more I try to read on it the more information I find out.  Sadly there are many factors involving these facial problems especially for young men in their teenage life.  It could be as simple as personal hygiene or could be the most difficult one to accept is due to genetics.  Yes, I know genetics which is really sad especially I came from a family with a background of pimples.  Most of my cousins have history of acne way back from their teenage life all the way to their adult life hood.  I remember back in high school when some of my closest friends commented to me boldly and told me straight up that I am a good looking guy however the acne or pimples on my face ruins my good looks.  Little do they know, I was really concern about it and tried to my best to prevent breakouts but no luck or success at all.  So where I am right now in my battle in regards to acne or pimples and breakouts.  Well, I am pretty sure I won in the battle.  After years of giving up and just living under the shadow of pimples, I found out some simple solutions that really worked on my skin.  Below are the things that I can definitely recommend and I am pretty sure if you follow these steps you will see some improvements.  The results are not something that you will see overnight but within weeks and then months the scars or blemishes should go away.  Just follow these advices and hopefully this works for you.

Vitamin D is also another supplement you should for a healthy looking skin
1.)  Consult a dermatologist or your doctor (this is a big one).  I consulted my dermatologist first and did not get the result that I wanted. So I gave up again on fighting acne, pimples, and black heads since I felt that the medicine I was prescribed did not work.  Years later I went to see my personal doctor and had a chat with him about acne and pimples.  Just because you are not successful with the first consultation does not mean you should give up.  That's the biggest mistake I did and I am telling you should not give up.  My personal doctor gave me some tips and some medication for my bacne or back acne as well as for my facial skin pimples.  He prescribed me some anti bacterial cleanser and benzoyl peroxide lotion.
Vitamin A is a very important supplement to promote healthy skin.

2.)  Another tip that was given to me by my doctor was to take vitamins supplements especially Vitamin A and Vitamin D.  YES, these two should go together, you will be surprised what these two vitamins can do for your body and how your body needs it badly.  Remember the good old saying about spending some time outside before 12 pm in the afternoon to get some sunlight? What do you think that saying was for? That is specifically related to Vitamin D alone which your body produces from sunlight.  As for Vitamin A, it promotes healthy looking skin.  In addition, the medicine field derived a strong drug called accutane based on vitamin A which prevents your skin from producing oil which helps stop bacterial growth.  Unfortunately there is side effect to it.  So I believe you are better off just taking plain Vitamin A.

Use a Facial Scrub to exfoliate your skin
3.)  Personal Hygiene is important.  Wash!! Wash!! Wash!! and shower! shower! shower!.  One of the main factors why most men get pimples or breakouts especially on their faces is that they do not wash their faces before to bed and after waking up in the morning.  This is a big NO NO.  Not only you have oily skin, as well as dirt on your face from going outside but also your skin regenerates and usually you have dead skin which is clogging your pores and unable to breathe causing pimples or breakouts.  Do not forget to also use facial cleanser and facial scrub.  As for brands there are so many products out there you can use and you just have to find the one that suits your skin and your needs.  The brands I use are from either L'Oréal Men Expert line or from Clean & Clear.

Wash your face with facial cleanser every day
4.)  Wash your face with a facial scrub 3 to 4 times a week to exfoliate your skin and gets rid of unevenness on your facial skin which results to smoothness.  As for facial cleanser, wash your face daily before going to bed and after waking up.

5.)  Apply moisturizer on your face.  Make sure you get the right one by finding out what kind of skin type you have.  Skin type can vary from being oily, dry, and sensitive.  The product labels for moisturizers most of the time indicates this.  As for products that I recommend, I used a facial moisturizer from either Biotherm Aqua power, Nivea Energy Gel moisturizer or from L'Oréal Men Expert line.

Look for a good facial moisturizer that suites your face base on your skin type
The above steps looks a lot to read and to follow but once you get on the program it is not so bad at all and becomes part of your daily routine.  Fortunately you do not have to spend a lot of money and definitely won't break the bank either.  Hopefully this helps others who have suffered and gone through what I have gone through; being under the shadow of pimples and acne is no fun at all.
